We went here for Father's Day, my choice. I had the paella, didn't disappoint, full of perfectly cooked abundant seafood. Went very well with a fairly priced chardonnay. Wonderful service and decor. We also tried the mussel and clam app, the sampler plate, pulpo and calamari. Enjoyed everything immensely

Pulpo Restaurant & Wine Bar is a Spanish restaurant that opened in 2023 and I was pretty impressed with my most recent visit here during lunch. It's located in Broadway in Burlingame so it's not as big of a pain going here compared to downtown, but you still need to pay for parking. Service isn't the most communicative, but friendly overall. It wasn't busy at all during weekday lunch hours. Their menu is impressive especially with the lunch specials they offer. On Mon-Fri they offer a 3 Course Lunch Special from 11am - 2pm for $20 per person. What I ordered: 3 Course Lunch Special - Soup of the Day - Atlantic King Salmon - Salted Caramel Gelato You can't go wrong with the soup or salad because they are both decent portions and the soup of the day is different, but it was tasty. The headliner of course is the Atlantic King Salmon and I will say it is not the largest portion and this is more of a quality over quantity situation. I was with someone else who also ordered basically the same items as me and they basically took one salmon fillet and split it in half for both of us. For the price and it being 3 courses though it is hard to complain. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Not undercooked or overcooked while also being well seasoned. They give a good serving of mashed potatoes, zucchini, squash, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes. The mango salso also elevates the dish quite a bit. Who doesn't love Gelato? Finishing off your meal with a salted caramel gelato. The other options were also chocolate, vanilla, or sorbet. They were generous with the salted aspect, but it was nice sweet and creamy flavor. I feel like coming here for the lunch special is a great bang for your buck and overall this is a solid restaurant with well presented food. The ambiance of being in a restaurant with a wine bar makes it a comfortable dining experience. I would definitely make a return eventually.

Nice Spanish restaurant for a dinner. I had a Pulpo Sample Plater, also got extra Empanada and a Lava Cake with extra gelato. Daniela was our server and made the experience even better. Nice ambience as well.

I came in to meet family for dinner on a Friday night with high hopes. The menu is a bit of an eclectic mix of stuff...Spanish, Italian, American. We shared a tapas sampler, salad, flatbread, and a paella. I enjoyed the variety of sampler items. The fried mix of veggies and calamari was good. Not too greasy and crispy with a nice dipping sauce. The potatoes were good too, though I thought everything was a bit under-seasoned. We got salad with dressing on the side, and the staff was nice enough to give us two different dressings. The flatbread was nice with lots of prosciutto too. The paella was a bit of a miss. Too moist with a weird texture, and with Mexican chorizo not Spanish. Nonetheless, we had a nice time catching up as a family and dining in.

Yummy tapas! I met my friend for a girls' night out at Pulpo Restaurant and Wine Bar. We shared the tapas sampler, which gave you a small portion of many of their delicious tapas. The papas Bravas were super tasty in the dipping sauces provided, the octopus was grilled to perfection, and the empanadas were nicely filled, flavorful, moist, and tasty. The shrimp had a nice garlicky sauce, the crostini was a nice balanced flavor combination that made for a delicious bite. The calamari wasn't my favorite (a little chewier than I prefer it), but my friend enjoyed it, and I'm admittedly not much of a calamari person in general. We also ordered the smoked bbq chicken flatbread. It was also tasty, but less special than the tapas sampler in my opinion. I think I would try something else next time. We ended our meal with the churros. Those were fried to perfection - not overly oily, and light and fluffy on the inside. They were delicious in the Nutella sauce, and the banana dulce de leche gelato on the side was absolute perfection. I had a glass of Prosecco with my meal, and thought that they had a good selection of wine. I might to back and try one of the wine flights next time! Our server was attentive, and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. My friend and I agreed that we would definitely like to come back. Parking can be a bit of a pain on Broadway, but I was able to find a spot in one of the small lots on one of the cross-streets nearby. Just leave a bit of extra time to park.
